QRC offers the strongest protection against both classical and post-quantum attacks in mobile communications, financial transactions, and data.
Available as software libraries or patented SIM and eSIM cards, protecting from 2G all the way to 6G. QRC is the only solution recommended by the United Nations International Telecom Union for 5G quantum protection.
- Provides the best symmetric and asymmetric quantum-resistant cryptography available, made to work coherently up to a 512-bit symmetric encryption level.
- Patented quantum-resistant software libraries require no new hardware for low capex.
- Patented SIM and eSIM solutions work on 5G and 6G networks and are backward compatible to 2G.
- Provides stronger cybersecurity than all competitors including IBM, Amazon, etc.
- Protects against today’s side channel attacks, ransomware, quantum machine learning-enabled attacks and prevents data harvesters who collect now from decrypting that data in the future

Quantum Computers are billions of times stronger than current large supercomputers.
Because they can perform calculations so much faster, they will be able to break even the most secure encryption algorithms in use today.
Quantum computers can also perform retroactive decryption. Today there are bad actors harvesting data now to decrypt when quantum computers become commercialized — which IBM has already started doing, with cryptanalytically-relevant quantum computers due as early as 2025. By 2026, annual cybercrime costs worldwide could exceed US$20 trillion, an increase of almost 150 percent compared to 2022. (Statista)

How much more robust is QRC’s eAES® than AES if faced with quantum computer?
eAES® 256
Our Solution
QRC is the strongest and most effective solution
With eAES® at its core, QRC provides the best symmetric and asymmetric quantum resistant cryptography available.
Made to work coherently up to a 512-bit symmetric encryption level—double the current industry maximum provided by classical AES encryption. Even at 256-bit level, it’s 9 orders of magnitude stronger than standard AES
QRC is superior on all levels
- QRC provides stronger security than all competitors including IBM, Amazon, etc.
- QRC offers a novel Key Distribution System (KDS) that is a safe and efficient alternative to AES and TDES-based DUKPT, which are decades old and approaching end of life. It is also 70% more efficient than DUKPT-AES.
- While still based on FIPS-compliant recognized mechanisms, the latter brings the performance of DUKPT and surpasses the security of AES.
- In the case of eAES(R), it only causes a marginal performance hit while providing 9 orders of magnitude (roughly one billion) more quantum resistance than AES-256 and can also be combined with it for FIPS thanks to our FIPS-related US patent.
- QRC is leading the ongoing ISO/IEC JTC1 SC27 18033-2 second amendment to include quantum resistant.

How QRC works

QRC’s eAES® provides the missing link in the cybersecurity chain, resolving the security gap with the following two steps:
- Replacing the differentially weak internal key expansion function (‘key schedule’) with a cryptographically strong pseudo-random generator.
- Increasing the number of transformation rounds to at least 2n, or at least twice the best-known cryptanalytic attack against the AES ciphers.
This key schedule is essentially a key expansion function that expands a small input cipher key to create a cipher-text output unique to that key. This key expansion function is the weakest part of the AES system.

QRCrypto’s patented technology corrects the Achilles heel of cybersecurity by strengthening the key schedule of FIPS AES with a cryptographically strong pseudo-random generator, thereby increasing its key size.
By doing so, eAES® acts as a working and provably secure solution to the question of the AES cipher’s sustainable long-term security.
Most important, eAES® is a plug & play solution; there is no need to purchase new hardware or other software, preserving the large investments that have been made in this technology, while strongly mitigating many of the most serious known attacks against the AES family of cryptosystems.
Partners
From space infrastructure to blockchain to quantum light solutions and more, QRC is protecting the world's most sensitive information from today’s hackers, leaks, and the inevitability of quantum computers.

Mr. Kovac is a member of and subject-matter expert for various expert organizations, from ISO/IEC JTC1 SC27 to ISO TC68, where he represents Switzerland for banking cryptography and chairs the cybersecurity subgroup for the NPI* standard. He also contributed to the DIN work on providing a normative basis for blockchains in Europe under the GDPR, which sparked the work on cryptography standards in Europe, and now works on securing Brain-Computer Interfaces internationally with INCITS (USA). In SC27, he focuses mainly on QRC / QSC, where he was instrumental in having international standards amended with it, aside from work on modes of operation for symmetric ciphers, also involving US NIST.
